What’s coming in with the November Feng Shui Energies promises to be good for the whole family. The wealth star 8 Earth is the ruler of the month potentially bringing good career opportunities, good business wealth and overall prosperity. Put a small water feature in the centre of your home to stimulate this wealth. Keep the area open, uncuttered and looking prosperous all this month.
The other positive areas are the East, West while the North is mixed.
The challenging areas are the Northeast and Southwest.
There are quite a few areas with challenging energy combinations in the other comapss locations. But I believe that the ruler of the month will help lessen their power.
The combination of Annual 8 Earth and Monthly 6 Metal create a wonderful combination called Fortune on the Mind. This is my favourite combination. Spend lots of time in the East of your home or office this month and as you do, clearly express what you want. This energy will help you achieve it! It’s great for your career and recognition too. Put some crystals here for the month to ramp it up. Sleep here if you can!
Spend time in the West, making sure that you are not disturbing the earth, with digging, banging, drilling or renovating. Travel could be on the cards as well as good business opportunities. But add in some extra red colour to symbolically burn off the Wood that could cause arguments.
This is a great area for students, writers and those in the literary and academic field. Health problems though could revolve around depression. Move out of this room if it’s your bedroom and you are prone to depression. A strong lamp will help. Leave it on most of the time.
This sector can help students to be successful in their exams. If your bedroom is here, romance could be on the cards. In some circumstances this could lead to infidelity. Disputes between women of different generations could occur with the unfolding of the energies this month.Put your baby calabash, otherwise known as a Wu Lou, here or some round metal objects.
The 5 yellow lands here, bringing possible arguments and even violence and money problems. If this is your front door, try to avoid using it. Make sure your security systems are in good working order as burglary is associated with this challenging Annual/Monthly combination too.Put your bell here and ring it often. White, silver and gold colours as well as round metal objects will also help soothe the nastiness. Avoid red colours here this month.
Delays, problems with your job, and possible problems with eyes, blood, and stomach. The male of the household is the one most likely to be affected. The otherwise perfect balance of yin and yang for 2017 is out of balance this month. Keep the area very quiet and dark and avoid using doors here.
Another area to be kept quiet and dark. The 3 Wood moves in where the Annual 5 yellow resides and the two together can create havoc. Arguments, financial problems and even legal problems can arise. Metal colours of white, silver and gold as well as round metal objects, need to be placed here.
Relationships could be strained with the 9 Fire and 7 Metal coming into conflict. The eldest daughter could be difficult and heart problems could arise or worsen. Soothe the jagged edges with a bowl of still water outside in this sector.

Here’s a guide to the compass degrees for each sector. To apply them to your home, stand in the centre of the house with a compass and imagine lines extending out from the compass sectors into the rooms. Using the range of degrees below, identify which rooms fall into which sectors. They will form a pie chart. Some rooms will fall in two sectors. Try to place the cure in the North of the North or South of the South etc, if you can.
North Sector: 337.5 – 22.5 degrees
Sector: 22.5 – 67.5 degrees
East Sector: 67.5 – 112.5 degrees
Southeast Sector: 112.5 – 157.5 degrees
South Sector: 157.5 – 202.5 degrees
Southwest Sector: 202.5 – 247.5 degrees
