The March Feng Shui energies arrived on the 6th March and stay till the 5th April. Great news because the ruler of last month may very well have brought you challenges. Now you can relax.
The ruler of the month sets the tone and in March it is a Wood energy which loves the Annual 9 Fire in the centre ( where the ruler lies) and together they bond to create Glamorous Wood. This is wonderful for anyone studying or teaching, for artists and academic researchers and it can lead to fame in these fields. It’s also prone to romance of the extramarital kind so you’ve been warned.
March Feng Shui Energies
The best locations for March are the Southwest, South, Southeast and West while we need to be careful in the Northwest, East and North.
A beautiful Water star for wisdom, knowledge and travel lands in the Southwest to join the fabulous 6 Metal which is already providing success and authority to women of all ages in their careers. If you are involved in a spiritual field and your office is here, you are likely to be called upon as an expert in your field. Add in a touch of Metal to nourish the Water further and prevent any imbalance in your relationship. The Metal can be a round metal object or some Metal colours of white, silver or gold. Spend lots of time here.
The monthly 8 Earth lands in the South bringing potential prosperity , parties and celebrations, particularly if your front door or office is here. But this is not good for a child’s bedroom though because it clashes with the 4 Wood energy here for 2018. You need some Fire colour but not a lot. A small red or pink vase or a triangle shape will help.
This month the Southeast is an interesting area. It could be good if you are in business because the incoming energy is a 3 Wood, associated with business wealth and competitiveness. It can support shy people to help them speak up more. It forms a very lucky combination with the Annual 8 Earth for wealth too! However, it does have connotations with legal problems and burglary so make sure you read all documents carefully before signing and put your security systems properly in place if you have a door here.
No digging, drilling, banging or renovating in the Southeast this year.
The West has the Annual 2 Earth for sickness but the Monthly 6 Metal moves in creating a combination that can work quite well to support wealth and business. It is best for Earth based occupations such as real estate and construction. It does have an association with sickness so avoid this area if you are prone to gastrointestinal problems or pain.
Put your bell in the Northwest and ring it often to reduce the power of the Monthly 5 yellow Star. It may exacerbate any problems you may have with ears, kidneys or reproductive systems and it is associated with money problems if your front door, bedroom or office is in the Northwest. Avoid using this door if you can, this month. And ring that bell! No digging, drilling, banging or renovating in the Northwest this year as it may disturb the Tai Sui, the Dog of 2018.
The East is another sickness areas this month so put your baby calabash here or some round metal objects. Soft piano music will also soothe this energy, which can add to pain and bleeding, coughs or digestive issues. Conflict between mother and daughter -in- law could occur if you are already on slippery ground there. But any negative energy calls on us to be aware and to try to behave in a much more harmonious way.
Issues with arms and legs as well as conflict and arguments may be highlighted in the Northeast so be careful if your front door, office or bedroom is located here. Fortunately romance can also flourish as a result of this visiting 7 Metal. Add in some black colour to reduce the potential conflict.
The Annual 5 Yellow resides in the North for the year. Now the 9 Fire joins it. While this energy on its own has a nature that is joyful and prosperous, when it combines with other energies it makes them stronger. So it makes the negativity of the 5 Yellow heightened in your North sector this month. You need more round metal objects and some yellow colour to help balance these two and no digging, drilling, or renovating for the year in the North.
Here’s a guide to the compass degrees for each sector. To apply them to your home, stand in the centre of the house with a compass and imagine lines extending out from the compass sectors into the rooms. Using the range of degrees below, identify which rooms fall into which sectors. They will form a pie chart. Some rooms will fall in two sectors. Try to place the cure in the North of the North or South of the South etc, if you can.
North Sector: 337.5 – 22.5 degrees
Sector: 22.5 – 67.5 degrees
East Sector: 67.5 – 112.5 degrees
