It’s Spring! Time to Bask in the Youthful Energy of Wood.
Spring is new life, new hope, new beginnings. In Feng Shui, Spring is related to the Wood element.
Wood’s qualities are trust, kindness, originality, spirituality, stillness, new growth and ideas.
These are qualities that you can draw on in the coming months.
With new buds bursting through the soil, perfume drifting in the air and the sun on your face, you can’t help but feel your spirits rise.
The new creative ideas that come hand in hand with the Spring energy can help you to feel more optimistic and happier as we emerge from winter blues and hopefully here in Victoria, as we emerge from lockdown.
Be conscious of working and playing with these qualities.
You can start by Spring cleaning and decluttering areas of your house that bug you. Clean all surfaces of dust and grease, especially in the kitchen and much used spaces. Vacuum and polish.
Deal with things you’ve been putting off because they felt too large to tackle. They will be easier with the youthful energy that’s here now.
Immerse yourself in Wood energy by spending some time in nature, even if it’s simply to notice the trees, plants or birds around you while you walk or jog for your daily exercise. Its great for your mental health.
Imagine more upward energy moving through you to help new ideas to blossom. Write down what comes to mind. The more you capture ideas in writing the more likely you are to make them happen. Writing is a Wood activity.
Throw out any indoor plants that are dead and clean the leaves of healthy ones. Treat yourself to a bunch of daffodils.
Open windows, especially in the East and make sure that there is a lovely view out there. And breathe in the fresh air!
But most of all know that it’s easier to to start thinking about the changes you yearn to make, be they big or small. Even if you can’t physically change anything yet you can sow a seed for a new beginning and you can trust that Spring Wood energy will help it grow.
